Hollywood actor Jack Black made a surprise appearance on ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator’, shocking everyone.
On the April 19 broadcast of JTBC’s ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator’ (hereafter ‘Refrigerator’), host Kim Sung-joo noted its growing global popularity and revealed that a major Hollywood star had sent a video message to the show.
Kim Poong wondered, “Who could it be?” while Son Jong-won speculated, “Natalie Portman?” Portman had previously mentioned her enjoyment of ‘The Black and White Chef’ and ‘Please Take Care of My Refrigerator,’ expressing a strong interest in Korean cuisine.
However, the face in the video message turned out to be Jack Black.
Jack Black greeted the audience, saying, “Hello to all the Korean fans and the ‘Refrigerator’ team. I’m Jack Black.” He then surprised Kim Poong by adding, “Chef Kim Poong’s cooking style is very similar to mine.”
He continued, “It’s creative, bold, and full of energy. I love how unexpected dishes are made with the ingredients people have. That’s the essence of great cooking,” revealing his admiration.
A shocked Kim Poong exclaimed, “Oh, is this for real?” while Son Jong-won laughed, describing it as a challenge. Yoon Nam-no, however, expressed doubt, asking, “Is he really at that level?” and Kwon Sung-jun jokingly suggested, “It’s AI.”
Kim Poong then extended an invitation, saying, “Please come visit. Our chefs will cook something delicious for you.”
Meanwhile, Jack Black reprises his role as Bowser in ‘The Super Mario Bros. Movie,’ which opens on April 29.
