In ’21st Century Queen,’ Byeon Woo-seok stood up for IU.
The fourth episode of MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama ’21st Century Queen,’ which aired on the 18th, showed Crown Prince Lee An (Byeon Woo-seok) kissing Seong Hee-joo (IU), a scene that subsequently made headlines.
In a previous episode, Seong Hee-joo thoughtfully prepared tea and supplements for Crown Prince Lee An, who was burdened with late-night duties. This led to a kiss from the Crown Prince.
However, Crown Prince Lee An kissed her because he discovered a hidden camera secretly filming them. The resulting photo quickly made headlines the following day.
Yoon Seong-won (Jo Jae-yoon) commented, “She is of commoner origin. It would be best to send her away from the residence.”
In response, Crown Prince Lee An stated, “She has been hit by eggs at a house swarming with private security and subjected to all sorts of online insults. Photos were also taken behind the heavily guarded palace.”
He defended her further, saying, “If she is left alone in this situation, who will take responsibility if something happens? It’s easy to part ways, but she could be my future wife.”
